Technology : Please give sometime to relish you!
was busy in dusting and mopping. it has been months i guess, i didn't clean my poor assembled desktop which now belongs to a bygone era, with its given configurations and loud cabinet. as i started cleaning it, for a moment i felt hmm once it was my companion of entertainment, networking and work. now it is quite. neglected. dull and gloomy, maybe jealous of the sleek uber cool lappy, which became the reason for my distances from it. now no more greetings, switch on or shut down. it is quite. lying at the corner of the room.
looked at the monitor, an image appeared of the motherboard, maybe asking questions : why you left me? wasn't i once your best friend? your power-point slides were created here? your photographs of facebook was edited here? and you remember you made your account here.....and now you boast in front of 100s of your new friends, that you own a lappy and am of no use?
so that is how my poor desktop laments.
on a serious note, i feel we all are moving and changing very fast, so the technology, is advancing very fast. once i had a candy bar nokia 3315 (bulky like a brick, with a monochrome screen, 2 games and so) now i have a multimedia enabled nokia phone, which is though trying to survive in 3Gs and 4Gs' race is still on the track. I don't know why? but the contentment level in terms of technology is going low and low. it was not the case with that bulky brick phone, at least not so fast. it had some value, charm and elegance, which i still respect, as it introduced me to the world of communication. i talked with my loved once. now i talk rarely, and connect more on virtual platforms of social networking. you enter your friend circle and there you are with latest news of friend/s grabbing & changing latest trend gadgets, tablets, lappy which costs a bomb in today's scenario. and things are getting outdated very fast. i don't know when this technology will permit us some break or time to relish its products for a while before advancing to the next. Really need time to relish you!
